Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre, under the artistic direction of David Herriott and Keren Gibb Hilliard, presents The Nutcracker, A Yuletide Ballet, in the holiday tradition that Huntsville has loved for over 40 years.

From the moment the lights dim, you will be transported to a magical holiday wonderland filled with adorable children, dancing dolls, marching toy soldiers, mischievous mice, sparkling snowflakes, and the delicious Land of Sweets.

Join us at Butler High Theatre, Friday December 2 ^nd at 7:30 pm, Saturday December 3 ^rd at 2 and 7:30 pm, and Sunday December 4 ^th at 2 pm to usher in the season!

 

I highly recommend The Nutcracker, A Yultide Ballet! I have taken my children, both college-aged now, since they were very young to other versions of The Nutcracker and can remember them loving parts of it, but being a little bored through some of the longer, classic, ballet parts. Having shortened those parts in A Yuletide Ballet , it becomes a wonderful way to introduce children (and some squirmy adults) to a this wonderful art form. The costumes are amazing, the sets beautiful and the choreography and dancing masterful! It is truly a great experience for the entire family and has become a holiday tradition for us. I am passionate about the importance of art in our lives, especially our children and think The Nutcracker, A Yuletide Ballet is a must!
